All three were first team all-state as selected by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association.
Pellston junior Katie Dzedzie and Traverse City Christian junior Lindsay Kostrzewa were first team all-state in Class D.
Dzedzie, who helped the Hornets reach the state semifinals, had 363 kills and 450 digs during the regular season. Kostrzewa, who led the Sabres to their first-ever quarterfinal appearance, had 534 kills and 178 blocks this season.
Boyne City senior Amber Kotalik was a first team selection in Class C. The middle blocker for the two-time district champions had 660 kills and 136 blocks, raising her career records to 1,209 and 259, respectively, in those two areas.
Two area players were recognized in Class A and B.
Traverse City Central junior middle blocker Laura Spencer received honorable mention in Class A while Cadillac junior middle hitter Abby DeWitt received honorable mention in Class B.
In Class C, Charlevoix senior Tammy Potter and Kingsley junior Hannah Bach were second-team all-state selections. Kingsley senior setter Mary Kaleita, Forest Area junior outside hitter Mae Johnson and Charlevoix freshman setter Jenna Way received honorable mention.
In Class D, Harbor Light Christian senior Kaylee Hewitt was a second-team all-state pick while McBain Northern Christian senior Abby Ebels made the third team.
Receiving honorable mention in Class D were senior Kara Pavlisin, senior Amanda Friend and junior Rachel Hutto of Pellston, senior Danielle Cleaver and junior Amanda Pomranke of Onaway and senior Molly Harrison of Leland.
