September 05, 2008 12:00 am Pellston won its 64th straight regular-season match in the Ski Valley Conference by beating Inland Lakes, 25-16, 25-14, 25-21. Kara Pavlisin had five kills and seven blocks to lead Pellston (7-1-3) in its league opener. Katie Dzedzie added six kills, two blocks, two aces, 13 digs and was 16 for 16 in serve reception. Also contributing were Rachel Hutto (three kills, 21 assists, three aces), Amanda Friend (four kills, two blocks), Emily Maglothin (two kills, two blocks), Kristi Lewis (seven kills, four aces), Chelsea Bonter (four digs), Mackenzie Myers (six digs, three aces) and Cassie LaCost (eight digs). Forest Area 3 After dropping the first game 30-28, Forest Area rallied to win the next three 25-18, 28-26 and 25-12 in a victory over Ski Valley rival Johannesburg-Lewiston. The Warriors (1-0, 7-8-1) were led by Chelsea Strine (11 kills, 14 digs, 17 of 17 serving), Maize Johnson (24 of 24 serving, 10 kills), Allie Garrett (18 assists, 13 of 13 serving), Kassie McGee (seven kills, 15 digs, five blocks), Ashley Czuk and Camila Tornow.
