Tony Casciano and Andrew Walukonis earned medalist honors with a 74 to lead St. Francis to the Lake Michigan Conference golf championship Friday.
The Gladiators fired a team score of 308 at Antrim Dells. Harbor Springs was a distant second at 333.
Patrick Colburn added a 79 and Mike Dendrinos an 81 for the Gladiators.
Ben Tolzdorf carded a 78 for Harbor Springs. Kalkaska's John Kasza came in at 79.
St. Francis competes in the East Lansing Invitational on Monday.
TC Central claims Gaylord Invitational
Traverse City Central won the 18-team Gaylord Invitational on Friday to widen its lead in the Big North Conference golf chase.
The Trojans fired a 321 to edge Gaylord and Cadillac by a stroke. Gaylord won the tiebreaker -- the score of each team's fifth golfer -- to place second. Traverse City West was fourth with a 327.
Shane Darrow and Matt Gauthier each shot a 77 to pace the Trojans, who have 32 points in the league race. Clay Lesley carded an 83 and Brent Stevens 84.
West, second overall in the league, was led by Travis Walkowiak, who shot a 78. That tied him for ninth. Also scoring were Shane Hoffman (81), John Cannon (83) and Ian Davis (85).
The Traverse City Central Black won the JV tournament, beating Alpena by two strokes, 331-333.
Bill Korreck finished second overall with a 78. Steve Tate followed with a 79, Trevor Mattis 84 and Marshall Anderson 90.
West finished fourth with a 338.
For the Titans, Matt Sheldon shot 73, Steven White 86, Chris Dienes 89 and Leland Yanick 90.
3 teams tie at 9-hole Challenge at Sugar Loaf
Three of the five schools competing at the 9-hole Challenge tied with a score of 188. Glen Lake, Manistee Catholic Central and Lake Leelanau St. Mary's went to a tie-break to decide the champion, with Manistee Catholic coming out on top.
Mark Bartosz carded a 45 for Catholic with Zach Smith shooting a 46.
Glen Lake came in second, paced by medalist Matt Abramson (41) and Steve King (45). For St. Mary's, Bradford Shaub shot a 42 and Christiaan Kormbeen 46.
Frankfort finished in fourth with a 211. Jack Wilband carded a 42. For fifth-place Leelanau Schools (218), Justin Lenoch shot 48.

Haley Kloss netted three goals as Harbor Springs posted a 5-0 Lake Michigan Conference win over East Jordan.
Cooper Dendel and Emily Ford also tallied for the Rams.
Keeper Maribeth Poindexter had 24 saves for the Red Devils.

Olivia Morrison's two goals led Elk Rapids to an 8-0 mercy rule win over Grayling.
Other scorers for Elk Rapids (11-3-2, 9-2) were Kim Sills, Kelyse McKeon, Lexi Small, Cat Orschel, Laura Bailey and Chelsea Peters.

Shelby defeated Benzie Central 3-0 with a hat-trick from Desirae Erickson. Brittany Walborn was credited with the assists.

Winning pitcher Ty Telgenhof helped his own cause with two hits and two RBIs as Charlevoix edged Boyne City 4-3 in the opener of a Lake Michigan Conference twinbill.
Robby Jensen had two of Boyne City's five hits.
Jensen, meanwhile, earned the win in the nightcap as the Ramblers prevailed 3-1. Tyler Kruzell homered for the Ramblers. Cliff Jones had three hits and Jon Putman two for the Rayders (13-13, 6-6).
Frankfort 7 15

Kyle Zimmeman and Max Bankston pitched Frankfort to wins over Brethren, 7-0 and 15-3.
Zimmerman threw a two-hitter with six strikeouts in the opener for Frankfort (19-3). Alex Stieze led the Panthers with a home run. Bankston contributed a double.
In the nightcap, Bankston went four innings, allowing three hits and striking out four. On offense, Devin Gokey went 2-4 with Zimmerman going 2-3, including a three-run home run for the Panthers.

Buckley won the opening game against Onekama behind pitcher Josh Ledford, who struck out 12. The Buckley offense only produced one hit, but made it count with a two-run single in the sixth inning by Brent Bridgman.
In the nightcap, Buckley got the bats going, pouding out 12 hits. Jeff Jerrett had three hits and Sam Potter two. Winning pitcher Sam Porter who allowed just three hits.
Buckley (12-13-1) will take on Traverse City Christian today.

Richie Schreiber led Grayling (15-10) from the mound and the plate to a 10-1 win over Houghton Lake.
Schreiber allowed only three hits and struck out 12, while going 2-for-2 at the plate, including a two run home run. Also contributing was Eric Ferrigan, who had a grand slam home run.
In the nightcap, freshman pitcher Jensen Aubry allowed four hits and struck out six in a 5-4 loss. Schreiber went 3-for-3, including two RBIs.
In the win for Houghton Lake, pitcher Ryan Seaford had a double.

Kalkaska lost both games of a doubleheader against Kalamazoo Christian, 6-1 and 7-2.
Kara Ponstein had a triple for the Blazers and was driven in on a single by Kaiti Jones for their lone run of the opening game. Kalkaska's pitcher Marissa Taylor also contributed from the plate with two hits.
In the nightcap, Jennifer Span struck out seven and walked two in loss. Taylor had two hits with Ponstein driving in one run. The Blazers are now 23-6.

Frankfort shutout Brethren in both games of a doubleheader, 7-0 and 11-0.
In the opening game, winning pitcher Allison Webber allowed one hit and struck out 10. Offensively for the Panthers, Laney Eubank had three hits and Mindy Smith had two.
In the nightcap, Paige Bankston and Kirsten Kidder each had two hits with Webber adding three. The winning pitcher in the second game was Kayla Nye.
Frankfort (15-4-1) will take on Hillman today.

Amanda Youker pitched Buckley to 15-1 and 10-8 wins over Onekama.
Kelse Clark went 3-for-3, scored two runs and drove in two in the opener for the Bears (7-19). Norah Chalker and Kaitlin Moyer added two hits. Moyer scored four runs, Chalker three.
Moyer added two more hits in the nightcap. Emily Gibler also had two hits, including a two-run homer.
