May 14, 2008 04:00 am TRAVERSE CITY -- After a week of simulated games, the Traverse City Beach Bums will get a taste of real action when they play a pair of exhibition games today in Indiana. The Bums will face off with the Gary RailCats of the Northern League at 1 p.m. and then face Frontier League foe Windy City at 3:30 p.m. Both games will be played in Gary, Ind. The games won't be broadcast locally, but Gary's local coverage (WEFM 95.9 FM) of its game with Traverse City can be heard online at www.SportsJuice.com. Saturday's exhibition game at Wuerfel Park has been canceled. Traverse City opens the regular season at home May 21 against the Midwest Sliders, kicking off a three-game homestand at Wuerfel Park. Traverse City will host Fitness Night on May 22, featuring celebrity fitness experts Brittany Aberle and Bernie Salazar of NBC's "Biggest Loser."
