THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Laura Heyboer assisted on Alexis Prins' goal, then scored the game-winner in overtime in Hudsonville Unity Christian's 2-1 victory over Williamston in the Division 3 girls' soccer championship Saturday.

It was the fourth consecutive Division 3 title for the Crusaders (25-1-1), who beat Suttons Bay in the semifinals on Wednesday.

Heyboer, assisted by Heidi Scholten, put Unity Christian's fifth shot of the game past Hornets goalie Courtney Clem to give the Crusaders their winning margin at 13:02 of overtime.

ANN ARBOR HURON 4, GROSSE POINTE NORTH 0: Taylor Dunn stopped all four Grosse Pointe North shots she faced and Rachel Vandermade's goal gave Ann Arbor Huron all the offense it would need in a 4-0 win in the Division 1 soccer championship.

Vandermade opened the scoring for the River Rats (17-2-2) at 9:41 of the first half when she beat North goalie Holly Spencer. Helen Steinhauser, Lisa Masini and Meg Boyer added second-half goals for Huron, which claimed its first state championship.

GRAND RAPIDS FOREST HILLS CENTRAL 1, BLOOMFIELD HILLS LAHSER 0, OT: Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central won the shootout 4-3 and defeated Bloomfield Hills Lahser 1-0 in the Division 2 soccer championship.

Forest Hills Central (24-1) claimed its third title in four years. The Rangers defeated Lahser (14-10-1) by a 4-1 margin in the 2007 title game.

Rangers goalie Courtney McCoy blocked a shot by the Tricia Bailey to open the second shootout, and Clare Stachel followed with a shot that beat the Knights' Haley Kopmeyer.

KALAMAZOO CHRISTIAN 1, MADISON HEIGHTS BISHOP FOLEY 0: Rachel DenHartigh scored the game's only goal in the first half to lift Kalamazoo Christian to a 1-0 win over Madison Heights Bishop Foley in the Division 4 high school soccer final.

DenHartigh's goal came at 9:33 in the game at Troy Athens. Mandy Engbers finished with four saves for Kalamazoo Christian (22-2), which defeated Charlevoix in the semifinals on Wednesday.

Amanda Mancini was in goal for Bishop Foley (11-11-1), and saw eight shots from Kalamazoo Christian.
