FRANKFORT — Plant It Wild will present a program titled “Watershed Restoration Projects” at its Wednesday, Sept. 25, meeting at Trinity Lutheran Church, 955 James St.
A potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by a business meeting and election of officers. The program starts at 7:15 p.m. and will focus on the technical work and cultural value of watershed restoration in Benzie and Grand Traverse counties. Those attending the meal are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own table service.

MANCELONA — North Central Academy, a K-12 free charter school, will host a Curriculum Night on Thursday, Sept. 26.
The event will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the school, 5055 Corey Road. It will feature information showcasing the school model built on visual learning, individualized instruction and small class sizes. Free dinner and child care will be provided.

PETOSKEY — North Central Michigan College’s nursing and allied health faculty will hold an information session on Thursday, Sept. 26, to explain the process for admission into the college’s nursing and allied health career programs.
The session will start at 4 p.m. in room 347 of NCMC’s Health Education and Science Center on the Petoskey campus, 1515 Howard St. Anyone planning to apply for the nursing or allied health programs is encouraged to attend this or an upcoming informational session, which will be held Oct. 24, Nov. 21, Jan. 23, Feb. 20, March 20 and April 24.
LUDINGTON — West Shore Community College’s Performing Arts Series will present “Blue Moon Swamp,” a high-voltage John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute, on Friday, Sept. 27. Art exhibit opens
FRANKFORT — A new art exhibit opens Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Frankfort office of West Michigan Bank & Trust, 501 Main St.
Husband and wife ceramic artists Corey and Stacey Bechler will exhibit their one-of-a-kind ceramic art forms through Jan. 17. A reception for the artists will be hosted from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the bank. The exhibit also may be viewed during regular banking hours. For details, call 352-9655.
Red Tail Ring performs
BELLAIRE — Kalamazoo-based duo Red Tail Ring will bring their brand of roots Americana music to Short’s Brewing Company, 121 N. Bridge St., at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. A $5 to $10 honor cover is requested.
Worship music concert
TRAVERSE CITY — The Olivetians, a ministry of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Ill., will present a program of worship music on Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Church of the Nazarene, 1023 S. Division St.
The 11 members of the group are all full-time Olivet students and will share information about the university in addition to their musical talent. The concert starts at 10:30 a.m. There is no charge and the community is invited.
