Church picnic

TRAVERSE CITY — Old Mission Congregational Church will host burger and bratwurst cookouts on the second Wednesday of the month from June through September.

The first picnic is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the church, 18687 Mission Road. There is no charge, but donations are appreciated. For details, call Penny Paulley, 223-4844.

Gluten-free potluck

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse Area Gluten Free Support Group will hold a potluck at its Thursday, June 13, meeting.

Tent revival

BENZONIA — The Benzie Blessings Tent Revival and Family Fun Event will be held at Hilltop Tabernacle, 7383 Hoadley Road.

The revival opens Friday, June 14, with kids’ fun from 4 to 5:30 p.m. followed by the main tent event from 6 to 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, June 15, kids’ fun will be hosted from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m., with the main tent event from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Kids’ activities and food are $1 and a freewill offering will be taken at the main tent event. Proceeds benefit Love INC’s Safe Harbor. For details, call 383-4026 or visit www.httabernacle.com.

VBS for all ages

TRAVERSE CITY — Northern Lakes Community Church will offer four nights of fellowship, Bible study, dinner and activities for all ages.

“Spiritual Survival Camp” Vacation Bible School will meet from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday, June 17-20, at the church, 5444 Herkner Road. Each night starts with dinner then programming. A luminary prayer walk will be held Thursday as part of an informal worship service and the mission focus is Heifer International.

Joint VBS

EMPIRE — Vacation Bible School this summer will be a joint effort with Empire United Methodist Church and St. Philip Neri Catholic Church combining resources and volunteers.
