---- — United Way of Northwest Michigan is looking for volunteers to participate in projects celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in schools throughout the five-county region on Friday, Jan. 18.

Coordinators have planned hands-on activities for students in kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms. Activities will vary based on the age ranges of students involved, but each will include opportunities for students to express themselves verbally and in writing, as well as to engage in class-wide discussions.

Volunteers will be supplied with necessary scripts and supplies for every activity and will receive training in advance.
