KALKASKA — A Kalkaska man who faces 16 counts of criminal sexual conduct is scheduled to appear in court.
Jim Sarten, 51, is set for a three-day trial in 46th Circuit Court starting May 21. He was arrested in October after Michigan State Police investigated accusations of sexual relations with relatives.
Kalkaska County Prosecutor Mike Perreault said Sarten is charged with nine counts of first-degree, six counts of third-degree and one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Sarten is being held in Kalkaska County Jail on a $750,000 cash surety bond.
