FRANKFORT — Renald H. Frederickson, 95, of Frankfort, died Oct. 25, 2012, at home. Born on Aug. 31, 1917, in Frankfort, on the family farm in the house his grandfather and father built in 1898.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II, rising to the rank of Sergeant.

In 1943 Renald married Georgia Lamb. Two years later they moved to Detroit to work as a pipe-fitter at Parke Davis Drug Company for 33 years.

He retired in 1980 to the family farm, where he loved using his tractors on the farm and working in the woods with his brother, Stan. Those two were always up for a card game.

He will be missed by all those who loved him.

Renald is survived by son, James A. Frederickson; grandsons, James E. (Sue) and Jeff (Donna) Frederickson; many nephews and nieces; and sister, Jean Vandervest.
