3D could be in focus at Bijou by the Bay

TRAVERSE CITY — Local gem Bijou by the Bay will soon add another feature: 3D.

“When Mike [Moore] and I saw “Gravity” at the Telluride Film Festival, we looked at each other and said ‘we have to get 3D for he Bijou’,” said Deb Lake, executive director of the Traverse City Film Festival.

Moore said the new function will be used sparingly so films, including “Gravity,” can be “seen the way they were meant to be seen.”

Moore said additional details will be forthcoming. Bijou by the Bay is the Film Festival’s spin-off of the popular State Theatre and is located in the city-owned Con Foster Museum at Clinch Park.
