Would be headlines
Abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell from Philadelphia is at the center of one of the most gruesome abortion investigations in our nation’s history. It’s been called the abortion trial of the century and yet the mainstream media outlets are not reporting on it.
The pro-abortion proponents say that they want abortion to be safe and rare, and the media parrots that phrase. If they truly believe this, then why are they not exposing this abortionist and his practice of infanticide? Delivering babies alive and then using surgical scissors to “snip” the spinal cord at the base of the babies necks is inhumane to say the least. By ignoring this and sweeping it under the rug it allows these atrocities to perpetuate.
If this practice was used on animals there would be headlines in all major newspapers and on all television news shows.
Leave meat off the table
Until we’re all living in billionaire-operated colonies on Mars, Earth is the only planet we have. One surefire way to take care of both the Earth and ourselves by reducing greenhouse gasses is to adopt a plant-based diet.
Not only is a low-fat, high-fiber diet better for our brains, hearts, and overall health, but it’s the best way to reduce our own carbon footprint.
Recent research from Loma Linda University shows that the environmental footprint of vegans and vegetarians is actually 30 percent lower than meat-eaters. Livestock produce over half of the world’s greenhouse gases, as well as three times the amount of sewage produced by the entire U.S.population. With the world’s population estimated to rise to 9 billion people by 2050, even Bill Gates asserts that meatless diets are our best bet, since it would devastate the planet to provide enough meat for so many people.
Let’s all help out our planet and each other by leaving meat off the table-not just for Earth Day, but every day.

Won’t make any friends
William E. Scott’s April 8 letter to the editor demonstrates exactly why responsible gun owners advocate keeping firearms out of the hands of criminals and mentally unstable members of society.
His convoluted attempt to take a swipe at, well, one can only assume at pickup truck owners who work, respect life and believe in the Constitution, probably will not make him any friends in the northern Michigan heartland, but his other ambiguous innuendos might qualify for an unsolicited visit from the U.S. Secret Service.
