Dinner and festival

KINGSLEY — St. Mary-Hannah will host its annual Chicken Dinner and Festival on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16.

The barbecue chicken dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, 2912 M-113. Meals are $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 10 and younger and free for preschoolers. Other activities include bingo, silent and live auctions, children’s games, crafts, a quilt rack raffle and the Golden Griffin Raffle. Golden Griffin raffle tickets are $25 each and the drawing will be at 4:30 p.m.

Pico and Chown

BEULAH — Vocalist Miriam Pico and pianist David Chown will perform a “Concert on the Hill” Tuesday, June 11, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 8190 Lincoln Road.

The duo will play a blend of pop, jazz and blues numbers plus some original compositions at 7:30 p.m. A freewill offering will be collected to benefit STAMP (St. Andrew Mission Project), which repairs homes in Benzie County.

Artist talk

GLEN ARBOR — Nature photographer Jim Jacoby from Livonia will give a presentation as part of his two-week artist-in-residency with the Glen Arbor Art Association.

Jacoby will discuss his art and his residency at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at the GAAA, 6031 Lake St. The program is free and open to the public. For details, call 334-6112 or visit www.glenarborart.org.

Germanfest

TRAVERSE CITY — Tickets are on sale for the inaugural Trinity Lutheran Germanfest.

The celebration of northern Michigan’s German Lutheran heritage will be hosted from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, under a 12,000 square foot tent at Trinity Lutheran Church and School, 1003 S. Maple St. Tickets are $35 each and admission is limited to 400 adults 21 and older. Tickets include a buffet-style dinner and live entertainment. Beer and wine tokens will be sold for $6 each and are limited to three tokens per person.
