Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear will be working on the windows, chimney, gables and interior at the historic Boekeloo Cabin/Boekelodge Thursday through Saturday, July 18-20, and is looking for volunteers. The cabin was built as a homestead cabin in the late 1800s and Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear has been working to restore the building and site since 2005.

Volunteers are needed starting at 9 a.m. each day. Both general unskilled help and volunteers with good carpentry and window glazing skills are needed. Participants should wear long pants and close-toed shoes. They also should bring a lunch, water/water bottle, gloves and a hammer. Major tools will be provided. To register, visit www.phsb.org.
