The Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency in Traverse City is looking for people to fill triage volunteer positions.

Triage volunteers serve as one of the first agency contacts with customers in need and help people navigate the services available through NMCAA and the community. They assess customer situations and help connect them to the appropriate staff person and program, among other duties. Complete training is provided.

NMCAA’s office, located at 3963 Three Mile Road, is open 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. volunteers create their own schedules in advance. NMCAA asks that they serve at least one three-hour shift per week. Interested individuals should contact Latitia Garthe-Shiner, 947-3780 or lgshiner@nmcaa.net.
