The Great Kaplan brings the funny to Benzie

TRAVERSE CITY — The Great Kaplan brings his one-man comedy/variety show to Mills Community House in Benzonia on Friday, April 26, and to The Williamsburg Theater on Saturday, April 27

Kaplan’s show is a mix of illusion, music, juggling and deadpan comedy with a vaudeville-like flavor. Whether he’s juggling beanbag chairs, playing a melody on “concert balloon” or defying the laws of physics with a bowling ball, Kaplan blends skill and gimmickry to entertain.

Tickets for both performances are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Both shows start at 7:30 p.m.

For the Benzonia show, tickets are available at East Shore Market and Sugar Moon Cafe in Beulah and at Corner Drug in Frankfort. For more information, call 882-0591.

For The Williamsburg show, tickets are being sold in Traverse City at Brilliant Books, Oryana Food Cooperative and West Side Beverage and in Acme at Ace Hardware and Stained Glass Cabinet. Call 938-2181 or 941-8667 for more details.
