Two arrested in vehicle larcenies

TRAVERSE CITY — Authorities arrested two suspects in a series of larcenies from vehicle in Blair Township.

Grand Traverse County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday answered six calls of property stolen from unlocked vehicles in driveways along U.S. 31, West Silver Lake Road, Vance Road and Sawyer Road. Money, electronics and a backpack were reported stolen.

A deputy on an unrelated call in Blair Township came across two men previously involved with other thefts from vehicles. Investigation linked the men to the Blair Township thefts and recovery of the stolen property.

The suspects -— an 18-year-old Interlochen man and a 21-year-old Traverse City man -— are being held in Grand Traverse County jail and charged with larceny from an automobile.
