Keep Kids Safe event today

TRAVERSE CITY — Area fire and police departments and the U.S. Coast Guard and will make presentations today about keeping children safe from injuries and accidents as they provide tours of emergency response vehicles, including a helicopter.

The Grand Traverse Risk Watch Coalition will provide fitting stations for helmets, car seats, and life jackets, as well as displays about poison and home hazards at their annual Keeping Kids Safe Event. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Lowe’s Store, 3150 U.S. 31, in Garfield Township.
