CENTRAL LAKE — Johannesburg-Lewiston edged Inland Lakes and Rogers City to win a girls Division IV cross country regional here Friday night.
The Cardinals finished with 82 points, Inland Lakes 83 and Rogers City 84 in the nine-team field. All three teams advance to the state finals.
East Jordan's Kayla Keane was the individual winner in 19:09. She was followed by Averi Bebble of Gaylord St. Mary (20:29), Courtney Whittaker of Wolverine (20:59), Emily Malocha of Rogers City (21:01), Olivia Heimforth of Pellston (21:02), Lexi Passino of Inland Lakes (21:15), Anastasia Bragg of Central Lake (21:26) and Chloe Johnston and Shannon Kievit of Johannesburg (21:31 and 21:50.2).
Pellston captured the boys title with 93 points. Inland Lakes was second with 99 and Boyne Falls third with 107.
East Jordan's Josh Wojan was the individual winner in 16:42.7. He was followed by Winter Romeyn of Ellsworth (17:05.4), Hunter Kilpatrick of Pellston (17:27.8), Joe Traynham of Onaway (17:30.7), Duane Vizina of Inland Lakes (17:32.4), Kory Skop of Boyne Falls (17:42.3), Conner Kintz of Pellston (17:47.4), Mike McNeil of Wolverine (17:51.4), Andrew Morehouse of Johannesburg (17:53.2) and Donvee Burks of East Jordan (18:04.3).
