---- — Care Net of Cadillac received $1,809 from Cadillac Area Community Foundation’s Cornerstone Unrestricted Fund.
The funds will be used to update the “Earn While You Learn” curriculum used by clients who are served through Options Pregnancy Resource Center and Fatherhood Support Services programs.
U.S. Coast Guard Commander Sean Cross, commander of Air Station Traverse City, has joined the local American Red Cross of Northwest Michigan Board of Directors.
Psychiatrist Brian Ameel, MD, of Pine Rest’s Traverse City Clinic, was recently recertified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Inc., in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
With the certification, Dr. Ameel remains a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Inc., a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
He is required to pass a written exam every 10 years. Dr. Ameel specializes in the treatment of ADHD, autistic spectrum disorders, and anxiety, mood and psychotic disorders.
Joshua M. Ruch, MD, has joined the staff of Munson Medical Center as a specialist in hematology/oncology.
Dr. Ruch graduated from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa, and completed a residency at Northwestern University McGraw Medical Center in Chicago. He completed a hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and practices at Munson Oncology, 4960 Skyview Ct.
