---- — FRANKFORT — Authorities nabbed a man accused of dealing drugs near a school in Frankfort and recovered $1,500 worth of heroin, an unregistered handgun and marijuana.

The Traverse Narcotics Team and Benzie County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 722 Leelanau Ave. The home is about 400 feet from Frankfort Elementary School and in a drug-free zone.

They arrested Trevor John Moody, 28, and recovered 21 bags of suspected heroin valuing about $1,500, methadone pills, 64 grams of marijuana and an unregistered handgun.

TNT Detective Lt. Daniel King said Moody had been on authorities’ radar for some time.

Moody had been staying at and dealing drugs out of the home, King said.
