Glen Arbor — Detroit-based photojournalist Susan Tusa, artist-in-residence at the Glen Arbor Art Association, will discuss her work in a free program at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Glen Arbor Art Association building, 6031 S. Lake St. The public is welcome.
Benzonia — The Benzonia Academy Lecture Series begins its winter season with a travelogue history titled "Bulgaria: Ancient Culture, Beautiful Land" by Evelyn and Del Weliver.

Book club meets
Traverse City — Paid reservations are needed by Thursday, Nov. 8, for the next luncheon meeting of the Village at Bay Ridge Book Club.

Traverse City — Artcenter Traverse City will present its third annual Winter Show at the Holiday Inn West Bay, 615 E. Front St.

Folk music concert
Benzonia — The music of Canadian balladeer Gordon Lightfoot and "up north" folk music will be in the spotlight Friday, Nov. 9, at Mills Community House, 891 U.S. 31.
Mackinaw City guitarist Mike Fornes and four backing musicians have developed their music into a theater show that replicates the Lightfoot concert experience. The show will start at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 in advance at the Benzie County Chamber of Commerce and the Road House Mexican Restaurant in Benzonia and Miranda Music in Frankfort. Tickets are $18 the day of show
