Hounds fall to Street Cats

ALPENA — Traverse City suffered just its fourth loss in 15 games as the Alpena Street Cats posted a 2-1 Midwest Junior Hockey League victory Friday night.

Alpena’s Vladislav Khasanov and Pavel Bocharov put the Street Cats up 2-0 in the first period. Konstantin Khramov and Savelii Skurikhin drew assists.

The Hounds’ Patrick Rogowski made it 2-1 on a goal set up by Jacob Gillis and Dalton Gertsen.

Alpena was 0 for 8 on the power play as the Hounds committed 37 minutes worth of penalties.

Vladislav Graevski stopped 40 of 41 shots for the win. TC’s David Krejcik made 25 saves.

The two teams play again tonight at 7 p.m.
