TRAVERSE CITY — Northwestern Michigan College trustees will take a second vote on a policy that would initiate video recorded board meetings and make those recordings available to the public for a year.
Board members approved the policy last month, but the matter needs to appear before the board a second time. If it passes again, it could go into effect as soon as the next board meeting in April, said Bill Myers, board vice chair.
Board members also will decide whether to purchase two aircraft for the college's aviation program. Aaron Cook, the director of aviation, requested the authorization of a purchase up to $295,000 from the Aviation Capital Reserve Account.
The meeting is scheduled for Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Oleson Center.
