Central High class of ‘57

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Central High School class of 1957 will meet for lunch on Thursday, March 20.

The group will meet from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Elks Club, 625 Bay Street. Lunch orders will be taken at 11:30 a.m. All class alumni are welcome.

Country dance

SUMMIT CITY — The community is invited to a Country Dance on Saturday, March 22, at the Summit City Grange Hall, 3060 Factory St.

The event starts with a soup supper at 6 p.m. followed by dancing to live music from 7-10 p.m. Donations are appreciated. Call 263-4499 for more information.

Kingsley Lions meet

KINGSLEY — The Kingsley Lions Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at The Rock of Kingsley, 115 E. Blair St. Call 263-8025 or 313-1837 to learn more.

Craft workshop

BENZONIA — The Benzonia Public Library will offer a spring-inspired craft workshop on Saturday, March 22.

The family-friendly workshop will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the library, 891 Michigan Ave. Participants will be able to create spring themed flowers, bugs, bunnies and baskets from recycled and repurposed materials. The workshop is free and all materials will be provided.

Purim celebration

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Jewish Community presents an “Everything in Disguise” Purim Celebration Saturday at the Unitarian Universalists on 6726 Center Road.

The event runs from 5-8 p.m. and features “Purim Minute to Win It,” dinner and Megillah shenanigans. Please bring a dish to pass and your beverage of choice. Contact Susan Curtis for more information at or 231-668-4456.
