New Traverse City Commission to be sworn in

TRAVERSE CITY -- A new Traverse City Commission will be seated on Monday.

Mayor-elect Chris Bzdok will be sworn in, along with re-elected Commissioner Jody Bergman and newly elected Commissioners Michael Gillman and MaryAnn Moore. The organizational meeting will begin at 8 p.m. at the Governmental Center, 400 Boardman Ave. in Traverse City.

Commissioners will choose a mayor pro tem, followed by commissioner appointments to various city and Grand Traverse County boards.

After the organizational meeting is adjourned, a special meeting will be held to consider an easement with Consumers Energy to relocate an utility pole nearby the Old Town parking deck site.
