GAYLORD — Courtney Dye finished No. 1 Friday.
So did the Traverse City Central Trojans.
Led by Dye's 74, Central captured the Big North Conference golf championship at Treetops Resort. The Trojans shot a 336 on The Tradition. Traverse City West came in second at 372.
Central's Amelia Pezzetti, Abby Palisin and West's Taylor Kehoe all tied for second with an 86. West's Laura Krieber placed fifth (89) while Central's Ally Schultz and Zoe Sobeck tied for sixth at 90.
West's two other counters were Emily Dean at 94 and Amanda Gross at 103.
Dye won all five league tournaments during the season prior to the championship. She finished with a 75.6 average.
The Central standout was followed by Krieber at 86.2, Pezzetti at 87, Kehoe at 88.2, Palisin and Schultz at 90.2, Dean at 91.4 and Nonie Tompkins at 93.8
TC Christian 5 North Muskegon 0
Traverse City Christian posted a 5-0 non-conference win at North Muskegon.
Jon Tuck and Jacob Rorick led the offense with two goals apiece. Kevin Mannes added a solo goal. David Bump had the shutout.
Benzie Central 5 Pine River 2
Benzie Central won its fourth straight, beating Pine River 5-2.
The Huskies had first-half goals by Janfried Wemkin and Andre Tierra.
Teirra, Wemkin and Zach Perry put the game away with goals in the second half. Paul Dumas was in goal for Benzie.
Burt Lake NMCA 8 Forest Area 0
Aaron Chatfield scored four goals while Jake Lovitt added three goals and two assists as Burt Lake NMCA blanked Forest Area 8-0 in a Northern Michigan Soccer League game.
Josiah Fosmore also tallied for the Eagles (10-6, 7-0).
Bellaire 5 Charlevoix 1
Drew Emery scored two goals and assisted on three others as Bellaire beat Charlevoix 5-1.
Hunter Rowe added two goals and two assists. Ryan Cybulla chipped in a goal.
Adam Crandall had five saves in goal for the Eagles (12-4, 5-1).
Leland 8 Northport 0
Leland picked up an 8-0 Great Northwest Conference soccer win over Northport.
The Comets had three goals from Dylan Jolliffe, a goal and five assists from Matt Fleis, two goals from Luke Nesbitt, a goal and an assist from Mike Osorio and a goal from Ian Duvall. Mike Farese made five saves for the shutout.
