ELK RAPIDS — Jimmy Swander completed 30 of 51 passes for 477 yards and three touchdowns Friday as Grayling defeated Elk Rapids 41-22 in a battle of Lake Michigan Conference unbeatens.

Scott Parkinson caught 14 passes for 145 yards and two scores for the Vikings (6-0, 4-0). Tyler McClanahan had four receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown.

Ty Jensen rushed for 40 and three scores.

For Elk Rapids (3-3, 2-1 LMC), Eddie Shaw scored three touchdowns and ran 17 times for 104 yards. Anthony Digiovanni ran six times for 43 yards while Thais Grays carried eight times for 38 yards.

Defensively, Kole Douglas had 12 tackles while Ryan Bush and Nate Wilson each had an interception.

Kalkaska     42 Harbor Springs     28

Zach Hill rushed for 222 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries as Kalkaska beat Harbor Springs 42-28 in a Lake Michigan Conference clash.

Hill scored on runs of 3, 63 and 63 again, pushing his career total to a school record 34 rushing scores.

Not to be overlooked, Kaleb Hauser rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, caught one pass for 28 and returned the second half kick 89 yards for a touchdown. The Blazers led 14-7 at half.

Eric Tracey led the Blazers defensively with 15 tackles. Hill had 10 to go with an interception. Zack Cameron was in on nine stops.

Kalkaska (5-1, 3-1) plays Grayling on Friday.

Frankfort      38 Suttons Bay      12

David Loney threw three touchdown passes and added another on the ground as Frankfort picked up a 38-12 Northwest Conference win over Suttons Bay.

The Panthers (3-3, 2-2 NWC) led 22-6 at the half.

Loney finished 7-for-11 passing for 178 yards and ran for 74 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown run. He connected with Nolan Nye on TD passes from 28 and 55 yards, as well as a 22-yard TD pass to Brandon Schaub. Brad Pressnell also had a 15-yard run.

Defensively, Trevor Lee had six tackles in the win while Connor Bradley had five tackles and an interception.

For Suttons Bay, Sean Lammy hit Carter Hanson on a 19-yard touchdown pass in the first half while Casey Cross threw an 8-yard TD pass to Ken Pease in the fourth quarter.

Lammy was 11-for-24 for 117 yards while Cross was 4-for-7 for 69 yards. Hanson caught five passes for 75 yards and Jake Kiessel had three catches for 43 yards. Bobby Burnias ran 11 times for 52 yards.

Defensively, Cluadio Ruiz had 11 tackles while Dakota Beaton had 10 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Johannesburg     51 Rudyard     0

Mitch Hardy rushed for 171 yards as Johannesburg-Lewiston defeated Rudyard 51-0 in the Ski Valley.

Alex Payne scored three times in the win.

Central Lake      37 Inland Lakes      14

Central Lake picked up a 37-14 Ski Valley Conference win over Inland Lakes.

The Trojans (2-4) had three touchdown passes from quarterback Kyle Hiltunen. Taylor Sutherland ran 18 times for 122 yards.

Defensively, Tyler Moran had 11 tackles while Zach Carley had eight tackles, including three for a loss.

Manton     21 Pine River     0

Manton celebrated Homecoming with a 21-0 Highland Conference win over Pine River.

Jake Truesdale led the Rangers (4-2, 2-2), scoring on a 21-yard pass from Jonathan Jenkins and a 14-yard run. Alex Powell had the first score of the night on a six-yard run.

Powell finished with 84 yards rushing, Truesdale 72.

Powell also had 12 tackles and an interception on defense. Tristin Rosted added 11 tackles and a sack.

Bellaire     42 Brimley     14

Quarterback Zach Smith rushed for 116 yards and a score and hooked up with Wes Villafane on two touchdown passes as Bellaire beat Brimley 42-14 in a Bridge Alliance 8-man football game.

Smith's scoring run covered 70 yards. His TD passes to Villafane went for 22 and 40 yards. Villafane also tossed a 65-yard scoring strike to Jordan Proctor. Proctor and Chase Small added rushing touchdowns.

Hunter Walsh led the Eagles (4-2) defensively with 24 tackles. Jacob Campis had 20.

Bellaire hosts Engadine next weekend.
