KINGSLEY — Kingsley clinched the Northwest Conference volleyball title outright Tuesday with a 25-9, 25-7, 25-13 win over Mesick.
Coach Dave Hall’s team finished 7-0 in the league.
“We never lost a set in our seven (league) matches,” Hall said. “I’m proud of that.”
Kingsley (38-6-5 overall) was paced by Alysia Folkersma (nine kills, one block, seven aces, six digs), Lilly Travis (10 kills, seven digs, four aces), Leah Hall (two kills, two blocks, 25 assists, six digs), Autumn Goggin (four kills, 13 digs, 24 of 24 serving) and Lindsey Weber (seven digs, 5 of 5 serving).
Kingsley competes in a tournament Saturday at Boyne City.
Benzie Central 1
Leland overcame a fast Benzie Central start to beat the Huskies 15-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-16.
“They’re much improved,” Comets coach Laurie Glass said. “They played tough. They came out blazing.”
Leland finished 6-1 in the Northwest. Sparking the Comets: Noa Yaakoby (18 kills, three aces, six digs), Felicia Whittaker (nine kills, six aces), Eva Grobbel (eight kills, one block) and Caitlin McKee (five aces, 38 assists, four digs).
Autumn Hagelstein (eight kills, four blocks), Kristine Robertson (seven kills), Manon Lutzke (four kills), Molly Lehn (15 assists), Kelsey Judge (11 digs) and Taylor Price (11 digs) sparked Benzie.
Leland hosts its Dig Abby Night on Thursday with Northport and Charlevoix.
There will be an auction, bake sale and raffle to benefit student Abby Gross, who is fighting brain cancer. Matches start at 5 p.m.

Down a set, Suttons Bay came back to beat Glen Lake 23-25, 25-16, 25-11, 25-14 in Northwest Conference play.
The Norse, who finished 5-2 in the league, improved to 22-14-5 overall.
Leading the way: Delaney Kaufman (17 of 18 serving with two aces, five kills, three digs), Jayne McFarlane (18 of 22 serving with six aces, 23 assists), Jessica Hunt (11 of 12 serving with one ace, seven kills), Kyra Vezina (12 of 15 serving with five aces, seven kills, three digs), Rachel Pasche (two aces, nine kills, two digs) and Veronica Anderson (17 of 21 serving with four aces).
Frankfort swept Buckley by the same scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-19.
The Bears were paced by Stephanie Kinere (seven digs, four assists, two kills), Hannah Belanger (13 digs, five assists, five kills) and Montana Yens (two blocks, four kills). Buckley, Manton and Manistee compete in a tri-meet Thursday.

Forest Area wrapped up its Ski Valley season 4-4 with a 25-13, 25-17, 25-13 win over Inland Lakes.
The Warriors were led by Tabitha Cecil (10 kills), Dani Johne (eight assists, five digs), Alyssa Birgy (10 digs) and Sydney Gooden (five kills).
Johannesburg-Lewiston pulled out a 25-23, 25-27, 25-21, 25-15 Ski Valley win over Bellaire.
The Eagles were led by Brandy O’Neal (five kills, 15 digs, 30 attacks), Chloe Niepoth (four kills, 20 digs), Tiffany Clovis (two aces, 17 digs), Gillian Nevarez (three kills, two aces, 24 attacks) and Madalyn Balon (22 digs, three blocks, 19 assists).
