EAST LANSING — No. 1 Southfield Christian proved to be too much for the Frankfort Panthers tonight, as the Eagles won a Class D boys basketball state semifinal 97-68 at the Breslin Center.
Southfield (25-1), the two-time defending state champion, moves on to face the winner of the Cedarville-Adrian Lenawee Christian semifinal in the championship game. The Eagles set a Class D record for most points in a semifinal.
Frankfort's David Loney had 32 points and 13 rebounds. The Panthers end the season with a record of 20-7.
