Frankfort, McBain win regional titles

BUCKLEY — The No. 3-ranked Frankfort Panthers secured a Class D girls basketball regional championship tonight, defeating Bellaire 61-33.

The Panthers (23-1) move on to face Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart on Tuesday in Cadillac in the state quarterfinals.

In Class C action, McBain (21-2) defeated Beaverton 61-44 to win a regional crown. The Ramblers will play No. 9 St. Ignace LaSalle (22-2) on Tuesday in Gaylord in their quarterfinal.
