RECORDS: St. Francis (2-2), Boyne City (4-0, 2-0 in the Lake Michigan Conference)
WHEN: 1 p.m., Saturday
RADIO: 89.9 WLJN
St. Francis pitched a shutout — its third straight — in turning back the Ramblers 28-0. The Gladiators held Boyne City to 74 total yards. Ryan McDonnell scored two touchdowns.
St. Francis surrendered nearly 400 yards in offense in falling to Grayling 28-20. It was the Vikings first win over the Gladiators. With two losses --and some big games still remaining — St. Francis can ill afford another loss in its quest for a playoff berth.
What They're Saying
"They're 4-0 and coach (Dave) Hills is back. You can tell with what they're running and doing. He's got the kids playing in the right direction. You're not 4-0 by happenstance. They've played some good teams. It's going to be a tough day. Coming off a loss to Grayling, we've got to bounce back and find what we're missing." — St. Francis coach Greg Vaughan
