---- — TRAVERSE CITY --Senior captain Ian Spencer scored with 2:07 remaining Thursday to give Traverse City Christian a 4-3 Greater Northwest Conference soccer win over Glen Lake.
Jon Tuck, Jacob Rorick and Cam Beemer also tallied for the Sabres (13-2, 8-0).
Jake Lewis scored twice for Glen Lake. Andre Johnson added a solo goal.
TC Central 7 Cadillac 0
The flood gates opened in the second half as Traverse City Central scored all seven of its goals in the final 40 minutes of a 7-0 Big North Conference victory over Cadillac.
Jack Dulude struck for the first three, and Matt Grost added a hat trick of his own. Andre Passos also had a goal.
Assists went to Grost, Adam Stepan, Jean-Claude Jephte and two each to Owen Stratton and Grant Dulude.
Colin Lesoski and Carl Gardner split time in goal.
Danny Brott netted two goals to spark the Traverse City Central JV past Cadillac 6-1. Noah Aulicino, Connor Hansen, Josh Armour and Chris Chang added solo goals.
Elliot Stratton was in goal for the Trojans (8-2-1).
TC West 4 Alpena 0
Traverse City West scored three second-half goals to pull away to a 4-0 Big North Conference win over Alpena.
Hunter Lumsden staked the Titans (9-2-2, 6-0-1) to a 1-0 first-half lead, converting an assist from Cam Sipple.
Brandon Montgomery, Josh Stiglich and Brad Richey provided the scoring in the second half. Dan Montgomery, Ty Troxell and Austin Sanders drew assists.
Justin Kraft had three saves in goal.
West won the JV game 2-0 on goals by Scott Wesenberg and Nico Ragel-Wilson.
Bellaire 3 Cheboygan 1
Drew Emery scored one goal and set up the other two as Bellaire notched a 3-1 victory over Cheboygan.
Christoph Radtke and Nic Underwood scored the Eagles' other goals.
Adam Crandall made five saves in goal for Bellaire (10-4 overall, 5-1 Northern Michigan Soccer League).
Kingsley 3 Glen Lake 0
Kingsley swept Glen Lake in straight games to set up a big league showdown with Benzie Central on Tuesday.
The Stags (17-4-1, 3-0 Northwest Conference) won 25-4, 25-6, 25-16 against the Lakers.
Against Glen Lake, the Stags were led by Katie Travis (15 kills), Leah Hall (34 assists, 14 for 14 serving), Lilly Travis (30 for 30 serving), Andrea Lee (four kills, one block), Katie Garey (four digs) and Kenzie Meeker (six kills, seven digs). Kingsley was 74 for 77 serving on the night, with 13 aces.
Gladiators win a pair of 8-0 matches
Traverse City St. Francis didn't lose a single match in sweeping victories from Whitehall and host Big Rapids in a triangular meet.
Winning twice for St. Francis were singles players Sam Holmes, Gus Danz, Jack Krzmarik and Patrick Burke.
Krzmarik dropped only four games in his two matches, while Burke lost just three.
In doubles, the tandems of Dan Wilson/Tanner Hobbs, Blake Bandrowski/Chase Richmond, Corey Boudrie/Evan Primeau and Cole Gingras/Jay Jones were all 2-0.
The St. Francis JV team dropped a 4-5 decision against Cadillac. The Glads' winners were Anthony Rice (4-6, 7-5, 12-10), Buddy Eckhoff (6-2, 6-2), Nathan Tafelsky (6-3, 6-0) and Ben Alpers/Brady Ray (7-5, 6-3).
TC Central JV Black wins at Leelanau Clay Court
The Traverse City Central JV Black posted a 2-0 record to win the Leelanau Clay Court Invitational at The Homestead.
TC Black topped TC West JV 5-3 and Leelanau 7-1, while West and Leelanau tied 4-4.
Leelanau's Joel Sneed won No. 2 singles with a 2-0 mark, as did West's Mitch Winowiecki/Jake Newhouse at No. 4 doubles.
All of the other flights went to TC Central Black, with Sebastian Koeth, R.J. Fenton and Ron Dohm taking the other singles flights, and Jeff McAndrews/Alex Sheridan, Austin Harrison/Riley Boyd and Jack Seymour/Michael Meindertsma.
Cadillac JV 56 TC West JV 20
Traverse City West's Jeff Turnquist threw two touchdown passes in a 56-20 setback to Cadillac.
Turnquist connected on scoring passes of 15 yards to Sean Grabowski and 25 to Josh Rakan. Dan Phifer added a 15-yard TD run for the Titans (2-3).
Boyne City JV 15 St. Francis JV 14
Dalton Gardner ran the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown as the Boyne City JV went on to claim a 15-14 win over St. Francis (3-2).
Max Cuper tossed a touchdown pass to Cole Butler about a minute later to stake the Ramblers to a quick 12-0 lead. It went to 15-0 in the third quarter on Gardner's field goal.
St. Francis came back with a pair of scores — Joe Trucco on a 50-yard run and Joe Studzinski on an 11-yard run. Studzinski's score came after Jake Summers returned a fumble 65 yards to the Boyne City 11. Joe Coates passed to Tyler Picardat for the two-point conversion after Studzinski's touchdown.
