---- — Traverse City Central cruised by 28 strokes to win its own tournament Friday.
The Trojans fired a 350 to claim the Traverse City Central Invitational at the Traverse City Country Club.
TC West was second in the 11-team field with 378, followed by Grayling (396).
Courtney Dye was the overall medalist at 82, winning by five strokes over West's Taylor Kehoe.
Central's Abby Palisin was third overall with an 88, Ally Schultz was fourth with an 89 and Amelia Pezzetti placed fifth at 91.
"We ended up having a beautiful day," Central coach Lois McManus said. "It rained a little a couple times, but our girls were prepared for it."
Nonie Tompkins shot 97 and Zoe Sobeck 102 for the Trojans.
After Kehoe, West was led by Emily Dean's fifth-place 91, Laura Krieber ninth with a 92, Amanda Gross (108) and Stephanie Long (125).
Glen Lake finished sixth with 414, led by Nicole Pace (100), Skylar Gleason (104), Melanie Kulanda (104) and Madison Hill (106).
Cheboygan's Megan Murphy shot 88 to tie for third, Ellen Vreighner's 96 led Harbor Springs (399) and Whitney Schans and Angie Routson each shot 96s for Grayling.
Petoskey was last at 485, led by a 104 by Allie Hoch.
Central won the JV portion with a 470, led by medalist Katie Trubec (107) and Abbie Crick (113) and Kendall Langum (122), who were second and third. Molly Smith shot 128.
Central and West head to Cheboygan for a match Monday that doubles as a Big North Conference event before Friday's BNC championships at Treetops in Gaylord.
