TRAVERSE CITY — Close to 300 runners will be at Courtade Elementary today to compete at the second of three Big North Conference cross country jamborees.
Traverse City Central is hosting the meet, which happens only once every three years, as the conference rotates its three yearly jamborees between the seven league members.
The girls race begins at 4 p.m. and is followed by the boys race at 4:30 p.m. There is also a middle school race that starts at 5 p.m. There is no charge for admission.
In the first league jamboree this season Traverse City Central swept the boys and girls meets, while Traverse City West finished second in both. Central’s girls had the top seven finishers, while the boys placed the top three finishers and six of the top eight.
