Prep Basketball Roundup: Bulldogs get defensive against Northport

---- — The Traverse City Bulldogs didn’t let Northport get into double figures until the fourth quarter in a 52-15 victory.

The Bulldogs home schoolers led 17-4 after one quarter, 31-4 at halftime and 46-9 entering the fourth.

Molly Plamondon scored 15 points to lead TC, which hosts the Grand Rapids Thunder on Friday at St. Elizabeth. Lauren Couturier added nine points, seven rebounds and five steals and Sarah Plamondon had eight points and 11 boards.

Mariah Kalchik paced Northport with seven points.

Central Lake 59

Forest Area 17

Central Lake evened its record at 2-2 and 1-1 in Ski Valley Conference play with a 59-17 league win over Forest Area.

Allie Hines led the Trojans with 10 points, Jaynee Mortensen and Alexis Carpenter scored nine each and Emma Pierson added eight.

Onna Hulwick paced Forest Area with nine points, including a half-court, buzzer-beating 3-pointer going into halftime. The Warriors (1-4, 0-2) travel Friday to Bellaire.

TC West frosh 31

Morgan Birch and Lindsay Smith scored 11 points each to lead Benzie Central to a 35-31 freshman victory.

Alli Baker and Grace Warren scored six each for West, and Kyali Hewitt grabbed 15 rebounds.

TC Bulldogs 60

Northport 43

John Ehnis had 22 points and John Mulder 16 to lead the TC Bulldogs to a 60-43 victory over Northport.

Jacob Brown led Northport (0-3) with 22 points and 15 rebounds, while Marcus Stowe added 18 points.

Northport hosts Alba tonight.
