EAST JORDAN -- Charlevoix won its first district title since 2003 with a four-set win over Harbor Springs.
The Rayders (41-18-2) downed the Rams 25-13, 20-25, 25-15, 25-8 in the district final played on East Jordan's home floor.
Charlevoix will host the winner of the TC St. Francis district in regionals Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
The Rayders were led on Thursday by Katie Mays (game-high 17 kills), Jenna Way (37 assists, 15 digs, two blocks), Allison Hankins (12 kills), Bobbie Molter (eight kills), Taylor Storm (39 digs, 20-for-20 serve reception) and Isis Hang (15 digs).
Class C at St. Francis
TC St. Francis, Forest Area advance
Forest Area and host Traverse City St. Francis each earned Class C district semifinal wins.
The Warriors beat Kalkaska 25-14, 25-12, 25-18 while the Gladiators took down Elk Rapids 25-15, 25-8, 18-25, 25-17.
The two will meet for the district title at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
"(We) came out looking like a whole different team than last week," Glads coach Branden Morgan said. "We're very excited to play Forest Area. They're a good team."
St. Francis (28-10) had 14 kills, three digs and three aces from Abby Clear, eight kills, eight digs and two aces from Bailey Ray, 35 assists and two aces from Emily Buckel, six kills and five aces from Vanessa Fisher, as well as key kills from Jamie Bott and Madison Archer.
Forest Area (43-10-6) got the win behind 37 assists from Katie Johnson, 14 kills and 16 digs from Chelsee Strine, 13 kills from Mae Johnson, 10 digs from Camille Tornow, 16 digs from Marissa Ingersoll, six kills from Savannah Daniels and 15 digs from Ranee Henry.
Class D at Joburg
Joburg wins district title
Johannesburg-Lewiston defeated host Gaylord St. Mary 25-19, 25-14, 24-26, 25-16 to capture a Class D district title.
It is the second district title in school history for the Cardinals (41-14-8), who last won in 1996.
The Cardinals turned the tide in the decisive fourth game with setter Liz Thick at the service stripe. Thick was at the line for five straight points, including two aces, as Joburg rallied from a 10-9 deficit to take a 14-10 lead.
Mary Schlicher later served a five-point run to clinch the victory.
Lauren Reppuhn had a key block to help St. Mary rally to take game three 26-24 and Liz Foster recorded the game-winning kill.
Class D at Frankfort
Mason County Eastern tops Onekama in final
Mason County Eastern downed Onekama 17-25, 25-7, 25-3, 25-19 in the Frankfort district final.
The Cardinals will play the Leland district winner in regionals at Buckley on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
