October 29, 2009 07:25 am ELK RAPIDS -- Tawas scored off a free kick with 46 seconds left to knock off state-ranked Charlevoix 2-1 in a Division 3 regional final Wednesday at Elk Rapids. The Braves scored both their goals off free kicks en route to topping No. 5 Charlevoix (20-2). Ben Myers scored the Rayders' goal. Wyatt Drost assisted. Newaygo defeated Reed City 2-0 to set up Friday's 6 p.m. finals between the Lions and Braves.
