Petoskey golfer Joey Garber honored

BRASELTON, Ga. -- Petoskey's Joey Garber was named an honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American by the American Junior Golf Association Tuesday.

Garber, an 18-year-old senior, won the Randy Wise Junior Open in August. His other top finishes included a tie for 10th at the Mizuno Junior at Innisbrook and a tie for fourth at the Golf Pride Junior Classic. He finished 2009 ranked No. 46 in the Polo Golf Rankings.

Introduced by the AJGA in 1978, the Rolex Junior All-America teams annually recognize players who have established themselves as the worlds premier junior golfers.
