EAST LANSING -- Three-time defending champion Scott Hebert wasted little time finding his way back to the top of the leaderboard Monday. GT Resort's Lee Houtteman is two shots off Hebert's pace at 4-under. He finished up his round with birdies on 16, 17 and 18. Petoskey's Keith Grunch is tied for sixth at 3-under while Manistee's Ian Ziska is tied for 16th at 1-under. Play continues through Wednesday. The field of 170 players is competing for a purse of $55,000 with the winner taking home $7,000.
