CHASKA, Minn. -- Grand Traverse Resort & Spa head pro Scott Hebert said he wanted to "make some noise" at the PGA Championship.
After the first round, he's in a position to do just that.
Hebert fired an even-par 72 at Hazeltine Golf Club Thursday and sits in a tie for 27th place.
The score tied him for the lead among club pros entered in the tournament along with Keith Dicciani and Michael Miles.
Par was the name of the game for Hebert. Starting on the 10th hole, he carded a bogey on the par-4 12th, but got it back with a birdie on the par-4 second.
Hebert will look to make his first PGA Tour cut today when he tees off at 12:35 p.m.
