Bert Winnie, a popular Traverse City angler at the turn of the 20th century, poses with a catch of trout (circa 1894) and grayling. The grayling is the second fish from Winnie's hand, and it shows the big dorsal fin this game fish was noted for. It probably was one of the last grayling caught from Boardman River where the shack was located.
