Every year, without fail, a few Michigan deer hunters die in a gun accident or fall from a tree stand. Others overdo it and die of a heart attack.
Don't let it happen to you. And don't let it happen in your deer camp.
If you have to, be a jerk. Don't let fellow hunters load their guns before leaving the cabin or tent or whatever. They'll have plenty of time to load at their blind. There are few things more dangerous than walking through the woods in the dark with a loaded gun.
Take it easy. Don't overdo the walking and climbing, particularly in the cold. Give your heart a break.
Don't allow one of the great times of the year end in tragedy.
