Red Cross resumes Lunchtime Lectures

TRAVERSE CITY — The American Red Cross of Northwest Michigan will resume its series of Lunchtime Lectures with a program on the uses of Social Networking in today's business environment.

The lecture will be presented at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Red Cross, 735 S. Garfield Ave., Suite B100. The guest speaker is Jodi Maas, a local business person and an active leader in Social Media Marketing and Online Branding. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch and arrive at noon. The program will end at 1 p.m.

Public invited to farmers market

TRAVERSE CITY — The public is encouraged to come early for the best selection at the Farmers Market at the Village at Bay Ridge.

The market will be open from 10 to 11:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23. It will offer fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, baked goods and more.

The Village at Bay Ridge is located at 3950 Scenic Ridge, off Silver Lake Road. Call 932-9455 for details.
