Friends of Clam Lake to meet
ALDEN -- The Friends of Clam Lake will hold their annual meeting at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Alden United Methodist Church. Topics will include the year in review, election of officers, update on projects and member feedback. All are welcome.
Trillium Garden Club meets for lunch
TRAVERSE CITY -- Members of the Trillium Garden Club will meet on Tuesday for a special lunch.

Tax and insurance workshop offered
TRAVERSE CITY -- The Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency will host a workshop on taxes and insurance from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, as part of a free series of workshops on financial fitness. Townhall meeting on healthcare reform
TRAVERSE CITY -- A Townhall Meeting will be held Thursday to discuss the healthcare reform issue and an upcoming bus trip to Washington, D.C.
