American Legion baseball results: 06/09/2008

EnviroSolutions tops Elk Rapids

EnviroSolutions opened their American Legion season with an 8-1 victory over Elk Rapids in A league baseball action. Nick Keller struck out 14 in six innings for EnviroSolutions while Gabe Couturier earned the save. Couturier also contributed two hits and two RBIs. Joe Prokes and Brad Keller added two hits each with the balance of the EnviroSolutions offensive attack coming from Nick Keller, Patrick Miller, Griffin Forester, Garrett Martek, and Griffin Martek.

Elite Pools over Paesano's Pizza

Elite Pools pitchers Chase Knobloch and Gabe Jasmin combined to help the Pool Bums defeat Paesano's Pizza 13-5. Knobloch and Marshall Mast both doubled in the C-league contest. Scott McWilliams and Jake Ryan each drove in two runs and made key defensive plays to end late Paesano's rallies.
