Fiscal transparency

It is very important to elect people to office who believe in fiscal prudence and transparency.

Voters in Commission District 1 have such a candidate in Dr. Dan Lathrop.

Dan will honestly assess problems and be creative in developing solutions. I encourage his election.

Outstanding candidate

In the election for probate judge we have an outstanding candidate, Melanie Stanton.

Probate Court is the "family court." Her 22 years of experience as an attorney in the Probate/Family Court and as a private practitioner includes: abuse and neglect of children; family law; domestic relations mediator; juvenile delinquency; developmentally disabled individuals; adoption; individuals with alleged mental illness; guardianships and conservatorships; paternity cases; and estate planning.

On Nov. 6 I urge you to vote for the most qualified candidate in the field, Melanie Stanton.

Steve Chapman

Dedication, integrity

As Nov. 6 quickly approaches, I urge everyone to exercise their right to vote, and more specifically to write in Andy Marek for Green Lake Township Supervisor.

I was stationed with Mr. Marek while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard.

I can attest to his dedication, integrity and his desire to make a positive difference for the citizens of Green Lake Township.

He's lived in the Traverse area for the majority of his life and will competently fulfill the duties and responsibilities of supervisor.

Andy Marek deserves your vote so he can continue to benefit Green Lake Township.
