Any hope for them?

The National Rifle Association represents many Americans around the country who believe in something that our country was based on, to hunt and protect yourself from your government or an invading government. Sales of assault weapons have skyrocketed for the only reason of our government; I noticed pitchfork sales are down.

Since when has outright lying been accepted, using food for fuel, causing food prices to rise, continually raising taxes and not cutting spending (good luck on that millage), and a debt to China that has no end. Biden is right; a shotgun with buckshot can do more damage. I hope mass murderers don’t listen because those will go, too. I feel sorry for the kids of today. Is there any hope left for them?

Not going to happen

In regards to Foster McCool and his March 6 letter to the editor, I don’t think that there are many crooks who go into someone’s home and then hide in the bathroom. Sounds like the guy in South Africa went looking for her.

We have a gun safe in our house, but we still have a few loaded handguns around for protection. I can’t image if someone broke into our home in the middle of the night having to go to our gun safe and try and get one to protect ourselves, while that person is controlling the situation. Not going to happen.

Yes, we are members of the National Rifle Association.

False choices

The Record-Eagle’s Feb. 20 poll only provides false choices. You ask, “Are you OK with paying more taxes to support tax cuts for businesses?” I believe cutting taxes on business reduces costs for all. Higher business taxes not only get passed on to consumers, but the cost of the bureaucracy involved doubles the costs to the community.
