Can’t stop terrorists

Every word, whether from banks, computers, landline or cell phones, credit cards, can be recorded by our National Security Agency, and probably is for any legislator and prominent persons anywhere in the world … “for our protection.” It’s full-spectrum surveillance. It requires an almost eight square mile campus in Fort Meade, Md., and is almost 10 times the size of the Pentagon. Also, NSA has a classified data processing center in the Utah desert that can use up to 1.7 million gallons of water a day to keep its computers cool.

Sen. Diane Feinstein, chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and with a sworn duty to keep a tight rein on NSA, said she knew nothing about NSA’s wholesale invasion of our privacy rights until Eric Snowden made them known. The Fourth Amendment bans unreasonable searches.

Citizens need information in order to make informed political decisions, but “whistle blowers” are punished. NSA spends nearly $6 billion a year for surveillance contractors. NSA has deliberately broken the law.

The U.S. Privacy and Civil Liberties Board, a panel of legal experts, concluded that NSA’s bulk data collection is illegal and useless at stopping terrorist acts.
