'Yes' on both Michigan proposals

We encourage a "yes" vote on Michigan's ballot proposals.

Proposal 1 is to convene a constitutional convention. This is an opportunity to address issues that have plagued Michigan for decades, including the size and makeup of government, our antiquated tax structure and ensuring funding for core functions like education.

Proposal 2 would amend the constitution to prohibit anyone "convicted of a felony involving dishonesty, deceit, fraud, or a breach of the public trust" in the past 20 years (does the name Kwame Kilpatrick ring a bell?) from holding public office.

Well, duh.
